Lead VFX Artist
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and development of visual effects for character spells and skills, environmental effects, monster attacks and abilities, etc.
Work closely with the Art Director, engineers, and designers to create high quality visual effects that clearly sell gameplay requirements, but function optimally within technical specifications.
Retain a deep and thorough knowledge of the game’s mechanics to most effectively craft vfx that clearly communicate game critical information.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have at least 3+ years of industry experience
Strong proficiency with Maya and Adobe Photoshop. Also Max and game engines like Unreal or Cryengine.
PC or Console Visual Effects experience required
Solid understanding of computer graphic fundamentals and video game art production pipelines
Strong traditional art background with a thorough understanding of art fundamentals such as color theory, light, shade, and form
Worked on at least one successfully shipped title
Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple requests in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to own and drive

Art Director
First independent Western games developer in China, Virtuos is looking for an Art Director to manage a complete 3D Art team working on next gen titles for major clients.
Responsibility : Manage one of our teams of 70+ Junior and Senior 3D model and texture artists engaged in next gen projects. Participate to recruitment and training of new talent. Establish Art production pipeline in coordination with clients. Ensure technical and artistic quality of deliverables. Manage communication with clients about artistic and technical matters. Reports to Art Studio Director.
Requirement :
1) Expert in 3DSMax or Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush.
2) College / University degree in Art related field(including architecture, industrial design, textile/fashion design). Strong artistic aptitudes and skills in 2D design, drawing, painting.
3) At least 4 years experience as Lead Artist, Senior Artist or Art Team Leader with hands-on technical experience including X-Box, PS3 and PS2, and proven track record on real-time 3D games.

Animation Director
Responsibility:
1) To assess the work of prospective candidates.
2) To review briefs from prospective clients and provide conclusive estimates and planning advice.

4) Experience in working with realistic 3D characters including humans, animals and a variety of other models.
