Virtuos Chengdu back to work after earthquake

Chengdu, May 16, 2008. Virtuos announced today that its Chengdu development center resumed operations yesterday after 2 days of interruptions due to the earthquakes which struck West of China on May 13. While the team is deeply concerned and affected by the tragedy, no member was injured as the catastrophe only created limited damage in Chengdu city. Virtuos Chengdu closed on May 13 and 14 like most offices in the city and only suffered minor damages: all communication lines and operations are back to normal.

As a related development Virtuos announced that it is donating 100,000 RMB to the Chengdu branch of the Red Cross. Mr Xu Yao Dong, HR Director, declared : “Many of our staff members in Shanghai and Chengdu wanted to demonstrate solidarity with the affected families and children of Sichuan. The company is proud to show its own support and care by matching all personnel donations”.
