Guangzhou, China, Friday January 27, 2011 – Virtuos has been awarded the China SME Entrepreneur Award 2010 from the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, in recognition of Virtuos’ sustained growth in China. The award was presented at an annual gala dinner attended by 450 guests from the Sino-French business community.
The award recognizes the boldness, professionalism and perseverance of SMEs and entrepreneurs that have successfully launched sustainable businesses in China. 2010 marks the fifth year of the award and the first year that the award was presented in Guangzhou, China. In 2007, the award was presented by French President Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy. The jury for the Awards includes members from the French Foreign Trade Advisors, the Awards’ sponsors – AirFrance and oil and gas company Groupe Total – and the CCIFC.
“Virtuos is still a young company,” said Virtuos CEO Gilles Langourieux. ”Youngsters need encouragement to bloom and develop, and I thank CCIFC for understanding this reality. I feel very fortunate that Virtuos has won this Award. I view it as a sign that our teams have built a company that is out of the ordinary. This is another significant milestone on our road to building the strongest digital entertainment outsourcing company in the industry.”
Two categories of awards were established for this fifth edition: Excellence and Entrepreneurs. Virtuos won the prize in the “Entrepreneurs” category which is dedicated to French individual entrepreneurs who have established sustainable activities in mainland China.
The China SME Award 2010 is organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (CCIFC) with the support of the Assembly of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and in cooperation with the French Trade Commissions and the China section of French Foreign Trade Advisors.
