Shanghai, June 11th, 2008 – One month after launch, Speed Racer has reached the No. 3 rank for driving games on Nintendo DS, achieving an average critics’ score of 76%, according to www.gamerankings.com.
Published by Warner Brothers Interactive and co-developed by Virtuos in its Shanghai Studio, it is one of the best-rated titles made in China. Together with Beowulf PSP and another unannounced title Speed Racer is one of the first 3 Hollywood movie-based games to be developed in China and all of them at Virtuos. This validates Virtuos’ strategy of implementing strong management teams and strict development procedures. It is also a new milestone for the game industry in China which is becoming a destination of choice for high-end art outsourcing and full- title development.
