Junior Lighting Artist

About the position: 

The Lighting Artist will be responsible for implementing the real time lighting in to the game. Working as part of the lighting team, they will follow the art direction given to them and will receive regular feedback and support from the Lead Artist and Art Director.

  • Implement lights into game engine to light the game environments
  • Follow closely the art direction given
  • Learn and follow the project technical guidance
  • Check their work to make sure requirements have been met
  • Learn and apply project best practices and lighting techniques
  • Communicate and follow project schedule
  • Attend daily stand ups
  • Good eye for light, color and composition
  • Interest and passion to learn lighting for game development
  • Some technical ability and a good problem solver
  • Good communicator and works well in a team
  • Good level of English understanding
  • Some experience of working with 3d packages and/or compositing tools
  • Experience of adding lights to a game editor an advantage
  • Portfolio of artwork to demonstrate abilities in 3d modeling, composition and lighting
