Virtuos Contributes to Two Highest-Rated Games of 2013 to Date

The last of us features art from the Virtuos Art Division and XCOM: Enemy Unknown was developed for iOS by the Virtuos Games Division

We are delighted to announce that Virtuos has contributed to the two highest-rated games on Metacritic in 2013 to date – including one from the Virtuos Art Division, and one from the Virtuos Games Division.

The Last of Us, which features Virtuos-produced art, has scored a 95 on Metacritic, including more than 50 perfect scores. Virtuos contributed character art including clothing for main characters Joel and Ellie, as well as environmental art and props for Naughty Dog. Learn more about The Last of Us.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which was developed for iOS by Virtuos, has also scored a 95 on Metacritic. Virtuos developed the adaptation of XCOM from console to iOS for 2K China and Firaxis. The focus of the adaptation involved modifying XCOM’s game and UI design, rescaling graphics and optimizing the experience to fit the requirements of gamers on tablets and smartphones.
