Virtuos delivers speeches at three major industry events
On July 31st, Virtuos Animation Director Zhang Yi Min and Virtuos Production Director Pan Feng spoke on the direction of animation in China, at the first ever China Game Outsourcing Conference (CGOC) in Shanghai. Part of China’s huge China Joy Expo, the CGOC conference is focused on China’s large game outsourcing business.

The talk covered key lessons from Virtuos’ experience working on console games and Online MMOs. “With one of China’s largest game animation teams, Virtuos is in a unique position to work on Western and Chinese games, and cross-pollinate skills between the two game styles,” said Pan Feng.
Virtuos’ Sound Director Yang Jie also spoke at the event, at a panel about game music and sound outsourcing.
2010 Online Game Development with CPU & GPU Technologies
On July 9th, Pan Feng spoke at a conference titled ‘2010 Online Game Development with CPU & GPU Technologies’ held by Dell, Intel, Nvidia and Autodesk.
“Industry-leading technologies form the cornerstone of Virtuos’ co-development and production projects,” he said. “Without these tools, it would not be possible for us to deliver our co-development projects on leading-gen platforms.” Pan Feng spoke on the different technologies used by Virtuos to deliver several recent co-development projects including The Price is Right for PSN and Sid Meier’s Pirates for the Wii.
China Comics Games (CCG) Expo
On July 8th, Pan Feng spoke at the China Comics Games (CCG) Expo, an international cartoon exhibition and the only China expo focusing on the cartoon and online games industry. Pan Feng participated in a panel focused on trends in venture capital investment in the game and cartoon industries.
