Shanghai, China – September 10th 2017 We at Virtuos are proud to have had the opportunity to participate in the development of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, providing a second life for the Playstation 2 classic on the Playstation 4 console.

After over a decade in waiting, Final Fantasy XII has been re-released by SQUARE ENIX in July with a richer, freshly polished visual experience. The graphical renovating process introduced high definition textures, post filters and lighting improvements via Physically Based Rendering to the already stunning style of series entry.

Final Fantasy XII: the Zodiac Age is now available on Playstation 4 worldwide, and has reached an excellent 87% score on Metacritic.

• GameSpot – “For an experience that can last over a hundred hours, the subtle tweaks therein go a long way in showcasing Final Fantasy 12’s grand trek in a new light.  And thanks in part to the new audio and speed options, The Zodiac Age is an ideal definitive edition: one that improves the game over its original version across the board.”

The development of Final Fantasy XII: the Zodiac Age is the fourth SQUARE ENIX title that Virtuos participated in, following the release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD on PS3/Vita, PS4 and PC. Final Fantasy XII: the Zodiac Age is also one of the three AAA console titles remastered by Virtuos that will release in 2017, providing our partners the ability to offer flagship titles to a whole new audience of players.
