I was already part of Virtuos, working at Black Shamrock - a Virtuos studio in Dublin. From the company mobility program, I was considering moving to one of Virtuos' studios in Asia. I eventually chose the Kuala Lumpur studio because it was established not so long ago, so it would be an excellent opportunity for me to be part of its growth. In addition, it would be easier for me to join and work in a studio where English is the primary language. Virtuos KL exposes me to the Asian market, while Malaysia is also an easy country to integrate into.

In addition, it would be easier for me to join and work in a studio where English is the primary language. Virtuos KL exposes me to the Asian market, while Malaysia is also an easy country to integrate into.

The Virtuos team was very helpful when I moved to Kuala Lumpur, especially with the visa process, the logistics around my moving, and my local bank account setup. It was easier than I expected to settle down. My team at the studio has also been so welcoming since I arrived. I have been experiencing different types of projects here compared to my time in Dublin. I also brought some of the learnings from my previous experiences to the studio, especially when it comes to creative projects.

I have always been passionate about the gaming industry, especially AAA titles. Virtuos has established itself as a prominent player in this industry over the years. That is why I believe that joining Virtuos will allow me to expand my knowledge and explore the full potential of what games can offer. When I came across this opportunity, I didn’t hesitate to apply.

Having the opportunity to contribute to the development of games that hold a special place in the hearts of many fans was truly a remarkable experience. I am eagerly looking forward to taking further strides in my career.

Virtuos is a well-established global group, and I am glad to have the chance to be one of the first artists working at its new studio in KL. In fact, I think I was the 8th member to join! Seeing the team grow exponentially in such a short time was exciting.

I am happy to be in a team infused with liveliness and zest. It makes working in-studio a breeze. I always tell my team that we are like the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece, with each person having distinct personalities and strengths, so we complement each other well.
